Blessings and Commuting

I know that I haven’t been the greatest at writing posts for my blog. But this following event happened last week. It has continued to weigh on my mind that and I thought maybe I needed to share…

Expert from my Journal – Blessings I Received Today:

The Lord saved me from a horrible automotive accident! So this morning on the way to work I was just minding my own business driving down the road and Listening to 3rd Nephi. My route to work is from I15 in Bountiful to the North I215 exchange follow around the curve to merge with Legacy (Legacy becomes I215) then down to the I201 West. On the semi sharp turn where Legacy and I215 Merges this girl driving a little red car decides to change lanes without a signal and less than 5 feet in front of me, not to mention going MUCH slower than myself as well! Now I don’t generally get up set if someone merges in front of me. I don’t own the road, this is part of driving in traffic. What I DO care about is people just being plain careless and rude! I almost died because of this woman, not only was it a surprise to me, I had to slam on my breaks to avoid hitting her, which threw Dora out of control (I obviously managed to regain control with quite the effort) but I also had a big ‘ol MAC Truck (just smaller than a semi) on my butt (slightly further away than tailgating). Now there was nothing in the road that caused this woman to jump lanes in the middle of a curve or anyone else merging in on her. She just decided to move with out looking around her, checking her blind spots or signaling to other drivers. Causing issues. If I would have completely lost control because of this woman. I would have died. I would have gone thru the barrier, off the overpass and into the oncoming traffic below. Not only this, but traffic was very busy and at least 15 more cars behind me would have at least been severely injured. All I can say is that I KNOW I had angels watching out for me this morning! I’m SO grateful that the Lord had me protected this morning. I sure am not ready to die… Life might not be where I had hoped to be, but certainly I’m not ready for this life experience to end. At least though I was listening to the Savior announce himself to the people of the America’s at the time. That was actually a kind cool coincidence…. When it’s all said and done, I’m SO grateful that I know the Lord is watching out for me and taking matters into His all knowing hands and saving me when there isn’t anything more I can do and keeping me from dying when it’s still not my time to return. Thank you Heavenly Father!
