Review: Anna and the French Kiss

Anna and the French Kiss
Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins
My rating: 1 of 5 stars

Gag me!
I started out really enjoying this book and it moved quickly at the beginning, but then it started sneaking in some of the teenage lovey crap that is completely unrealistic. The teenage mentality, writing & dialog drives me batty. Sometimes, I think this author (Ms. Perkins) took writing lessons from Stephanie Myers. 😐 This has such potential but horrid teenage girl useless drama. She seriously writes like Stephanie Myers. 😦 I’m only continued on for the sake of finishing… I was so grateful that this finally ended! I felt such a rush of relief!

Finished 12 December 2013

  1. Lol at your reaction. I couldn’t stomach Meyer so I have yet to complete Twilight, book1. I did 2 chapters and couldn’t continue.

    • Yes, Myer is incredibly awful! The only reason I read them is so that I could understand what everyone was talking about. (Partially why I also read Ender’s Game.) The other reason is I was driving across country with only the Twilight series as my audio listening… I just kept hoping it would get better… Nope, progressively worse by the page! Sure Mrs. Myers, let’s teach all the bright, talented, and capable young women of the world that they are nothing with out some man doting (sp?) on us and ‘taking care’ of us, oh and let’s also put the weird stocking in her sleep, with out her knowing. Not to mention the obsessive compulsive symbiotic relationship between them. And if the man you love left you, let’s just find one to ‘fill in’ and use until the other comes back. Wrong wrong wrong. Ugh! Gag me. 😐 Great job on not finishing! This book, really wasn’t much different actually. lol
