We have been incredibly blessed to be able to travel and experience the world at a different level than most people! We are very grateful for the opportunities to travel and experience the world together. We also have the benefit of our eyes being opened to the unbelievable, magic & majestic. There are so many places I want to see and new ones being added daily! Some I accidentally stumble across in my other paths! (Like Dollywood! Lol) We thought that it would be a great idea to start making lists of our favorite places we’ve been and seen.
As a little background –
Jen traveled a lot growing up, her dad had a job that had them moving on a fairly regular basis. Mother taught the family that life is an adventure and that each experience will be the only one like it. That even if you go revisit something down the road, it will never be the same. So experience all you can while you are here! The Arches National Park near Moab, Utah had a line in their welcome video, “This is but a moment in an ever-changing time.” However true these passages have rung in Jen’s heart & experience since. Jen went to 11 different schools before graduating High School lived in 10 different places in Utah, 2 different places in Colorado, Kansas, Arizona, Nevada then on her own New York City, Vermont, Philadelphia in addition to some of those Utah places. And then with MIke Washington, Ohio, Hawaii, Long Beach & San Francisco, California, Houston, & DFW Texas, North & South Carolina, West Palm Beach, Florida! Jen has been to most of the US, at the time she met Mike she only had 6 states left; Maine, New Hampshire, Kentucky, Tennessee, Hawaii & Alaska. She’d also been to Canada, Mexico & The Bahamas.
Michael is the big world traveler, he grew up between Ohio, Missouri, Texas & Georgia he graduated High School 2 years early. Thru-hiked the Appalachian Trail. Then went to Europe Twice – Backpacking and Working from Farm-to-Farm. Later he ended up in Central & South America, living between & part-years in Peru, Honduras, Ohio & Georgia for 7 years. Then off to Asia starting in Thailand. All while adding higher education to his back-pocket (Jeweler & Silver Smith, Eco-Travel & Adventure Tourism, Commercial Diving Underwater Welding).
Once he became a Commercial Diver Underwater Welder, his US Travel exponentially expanded and managed to work in all 50 states! He also went on a marine biology research trip into the Mariana Trench when he added Marine Biology to his other education. Which he says is the best diving on Earth! He helped identify 7 new species of Jellyfish while there too!
Jen became an Insurance Adjuster so that she had more flexibility to follow him around the country. Then he became an Insurance Adjuster as well so we could work together when he wasn’t diving. So we started chasing storms. When we weren’t chasing storms the Insurance Companies would send us all over for claims as well.
All allowing us to experience some of life’s greatest joys!
Ideally I will eventually be able to make a post of each of these areas.
Please forgive the draft-like format. I wanted it to be a live document as I continued to add areas and find areas.
This world has so much flying at us at a constant high speed rate its amazing. Some of it stinks, so much doesn’t. But we also have the benefit of our eyes being opened to the unbelievable, magic & majestic. There are so many places I want to see and new ones being added daily! Some I accidentally stumble across in my other paths! (Like Dollywood! Lol)

I’ve decided to start making a list – of all the amazing places – that someday I’ll get to see! It’s gonna be a VERY long list – fair warning.

Rakotzbrücke (aka the Devil’s Bridge) in Rhododendron Park, Kromlau, Germany
2/24/2020 my lock screen image on my computer today was of this breathtaking perfect bridge. Simply astounding. If its this fantastical in photo I can not imagine how more intense the vision must be in person!
“Rakotzbrücke (aka the Devil’s Bridge) in Rhododendron Park, Kromlau, Germany
The Rakotzbrücke, aka the Devil’s Bridge, stretches across the Rakotzsee River in Rhododendron Park, in Kromlau, Saxony, Germany. That’s a mouthful of an address, but the 160-acre park is worth a visit. Gothic architecture can be found within its boundaries, but the big draw is the bridge. Thanks to its reflection, the bridge creates a perfect circle that emits a siren call to anyone with a camera. Just follow the well-worn paths of the many photographers who have preceded you.
A number of arched bridges across Europe and beyond go by the name ‘Devil’s Bridge.’ As the folklore typically goes, these bridges were so tricky to build that they must’ve been created by the devil.” https://www.bing.com/images/search?q=devil’s+bridges+europe&filters=IsConversation:%22True%22+BTWLKey:%22RakotzBridgeGermany%22+BTWLType:%22Trivia%22&trivia=1&form=EMSDS0&first=1&cw=1731&ch=888
